Learning@School provides a package of professional learning with a focus on integrating new technologies to empower teaching and learning.The sessions are great, but the networking in between is just as important. Take time to meet people and network in the trade hall or over a cup of coffee. It is also about building a community for your personal learning network.

How can I get the most out of attending the Learning@School conference?
There are many ways that conferences can contribute to professional learning, both for individuals and for your whole staff. Some ideas you might consider are:
selecting workshops according to your school's needs and/or professional learning goals;
pre-conference discussions in your staff room based around key points of interest or readings from keynotes and spotlight presenters, then following up these discussions once the conference has finished;
using the conference themes as a starting point for building and developing understanding that are relevant for your school.

'ning.com' as a place for storing videos
to use on wikis- no school server space required. They create a class password and store these all as a private group that no one else has access to. They can get a code here to embed. However if they want the world to see they use youtube. We agree as we discussed what we would do with students creating tutorials as promoted by Alan November in his keynote. (Lorraine and Debbie)
2. Ian Fox may be right. Schools are stuck in the 20th C and students have rushed to the 21st. he says a must read is Mark Prenskeys "Don't Bother Me Mum I'm Learning".
